Friday, February 20, 2009 Bonjour everyone!A few more days and we will be having our CA1! On today's post, I will be talking about reading. I enjoy reading as it widens my collection of words on vocabulary. Whenever I came across a word or a phrase that I do not know, I will check up on my dictionary. I like to read books on mystery, humor, science, art, IT, Japanese animes and Japanese comics. I especially like to read books about Geronimo Silton. In those books, the author uses 'Mouse Language' which is very funny. Some of the words he used were: 'Mouse Everest' and 'Mousella MacMouser'.In school, I am suppose to read a story book every morning. I think it is a good thing as it helps the pupils to develop a habit for reading and it increases their knowledge of words which helps them in their schoolwork. JQ [unheard.whispers] 2:41 PM Thursday, February 12, 2009 Hi friends! We are in the month of February now and nearing our CA1 very quickly. We are all studying very hard to try and pass our CA1 with flying colours. As for today's post, I will be talking about Passion For Learning! Passion for learning means having enthusiasm for learning. I have passion for learning in Art and Science. I like to do art as I can express my thoughts indirectly on the art piece I'm doing without saying it out loud. This allows me to better appreciate my artworks than to say " Just an art piece, no big deal..." . I like to study Science because it allows me to find out about the world's wonders and it explains to me why this particular thing did or have that particular action or characteristics. To further expand my passion for other subjects, I will try to read more storybooks on English and Chinese while familiarising myself with the Mathematical formulas. Who knows? Total Defence-What Will You Defend
 I will defend my family and the Singapore flag. To me, my family is the most important thing in my life. From birth, my family has been taking care of me with great concern. They've also been helping me in my work. They have given so much for me and I would like to repay them by defending them psychologically and verbally. That's the most I can do for my age. Nonetheless, I hope that I can help them in some other ways. The Singapore flag represents the country, the nation. Without the Singapore flag, Singapore will mean nothing to anybody. Then, ambitions countries will fight for the nameless land using v  iolence like the Japanese occupation and the winner of the war will name the nameless land part of the their country. During the war, people will live in fear everyday and I do not want that to happen. Thus, I would like to defend the Singapore flag by staying vigilant at all times and ensuring no one insults the Singapore flag.JQ [unheard.whispers] 3:52 PM |
